In Memoriam: Stephen H. Weiss

Stephen H. Weiss served as Cornell University's representative on the Board of the Teagle Foundation from November, 1998 through his death in April, 2008. His dedication to the Foundation and its mission was evident in the focused energy that he brought to every aspect of that service, including his work as Vice Chairman of the Board, Chair of the Governance Committee, and as an active member of the Investment Committee. He was always fully engaged in the programs of the Foundation, supportive of the Foundation's work and of the contributions of each staff member, and constructive in his responses to them. His incisive judgment, generous spirit and deep commitment to higher education will be remembered by all who knew him.
